Who would have thought that it would be a new hip that keeps an athlete with your talent sidelined. Most would have bet the farm it was the drinking, cigar smoking or motorcycle that would have done you in... what is this country coming too??

Lester T Ducka is following his dreams in Tampa as an aspireing Cricket player.

But his plans have recently hit a snag and his hopes  have been dashed in a possible landmark case of

reverse discrimination against a middle aged white  guy.

The local team, The Tampa Taliban Turbans have  denied him an opportunity to join the Gulf Coast Cricket Association.

This move has blackballed Lester from playing for  any Cricket franchise in the United States. Under international  laws

of Cricket, artificial hips or hip resurfacing have  been determined as banned performace enhancing procedures.

Our repeated calls to The  International Cricket Council, the governing body for the sport, have not been  returned. http://icc-cricket.yahoo.com/

Many speculate that ICC President Haji Ben  Kamal is personally behind the strictest enforcment of the obscure interpertation of the rule.

"He could have been the greatest" said his personal  trainer JoMo Murphy, "he had all 3 tools who could fast bowl with the best of  them and was a big test player".

No word whether the case will hit the courts and be  resolved before the The next ICC Cricket World Cup will be held in 2011 in  Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Lester may join Team Fiji as they drive towards the  championship in the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League. http://www.pepsiiccworldcricketleague.com/

The fledgling league has thrown out the rule book  trying to lure Lester and his fan base to the league.
